Are you a skilled Monitor Tech looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a fast-paced environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Monitor Technician to join our team at Texas Health Denton, a 255-bed, full-service hospital in Denton, Texas.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Monitor Technician to work in our Emergency Department, Nights. As a Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and using telemetry monitoring equipment, collecting and reporting patient information, and ensuring the smooth operation of our monitoring systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and use telemetry monitoring equipment to collect and report patient information
  • Collect, report, and document patient information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Distinguish and report abnormalities and initiate action to provide continuity of care
  • Ensure admission/dismissals are processed promptly and preparations are made to get the monitor ready for admission
  • Communicate promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance
  • Assist with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • 1 year direct patient care experience involving telemetry monitoring or completion of educational program which includes telemetry monitoring, preferred
  • BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
