Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry/Monitor Technician to join our team at Texas Health Denton. As a Monitor Tech, you will be responsible for setting up and using telemetry monitoring equipment, collecting and reporting patient information, and distinguishing and reporting abnormalities. If you have a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and use telemetry monitoring equipment
  • Collect and report patient information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Distinguish and report abnormalities and initiate action to provide continuity of care
  • Ensure admission/dismissals are processed promptly and preparations are made to get the monitor ready for admission
  • Communicate promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance
  • Assist with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • 1 year direct patient care experience involving telemetry monitoring or completion of educational program which includes telemetry monitoring, preferred
