This role presents an exceptional chance to engage in intricate and stimulating projects for a varied clientele, including property developers, landowners, and corporate entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver thorough legal advice and representation to clients across a spectrum of real estate dealings, encompassing acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, and development initiatives.
- Manage intricate land use and zoning issues, including subdivisions, rezoning requests, variances, conditional use permits, and appeals.
- Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis to pinpoint potential legal challenges and formulate effective solutions.
- Draft and negotiate a diverse array of real estate agreements, such as purchase contracts, leases, and development accords.
- Advocate for clients in administrative proceedings, zoning board sessions, and litigation as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pertinent real estate, land use, and zoning statutes and regulations.
- Collaborate with fellow attorneys and professionals within the firm to ensure cohesive client service.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law institution and admission to the New York bar.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in real estate law with a concentration on land use and zoning.
- Proven proficiency in managing complex real estate transactions and land use issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Existing client portfolio to be discussed.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience: $200k-250k
