Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Physician Relations Specialist I to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Physician Relations department, including healthcare contracting, provider relations, and network development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead network growth through provider education, sales, and office orientations.
  • Develop and maintain centralized facility credentialing for CHRISTUS Health System Managed Care Department.
  • Provide excellent customer service to providers, clients, brokers, consultants, and TPAs to ensure network satisfaction and usage.
  • Assist with Board of Director meetings, Credentialing Committee meetings, and other network sales meetings as needed.
  • Update provider offices on new contracts and changes in contracts.
  • Verify and request written notification from health plans and payors.
  • Maintain accurate participation records and update payor network rosters, directors, and matrices as required.
  • Conduct provider education and training in accordance with relevant requirements.
  • Schedule and facilitate regular meetings of the Office Advisory Committee.
  • Prepare quarterly accounting invoices and maintain accurate accounting records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills and typing ability.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Two to five years of clerical experience, preferably in a hospital setting or an equivalent.
