Job Summary
The Mountain Lakes School District is seeking an experienced School Business Administrator/Board Secretary to supervise and manage the budget and numerous operations for four schools in a high performing district. As a key member of the district team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial management, facilities maintenance, and operational activities.

School Administrator Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the budget for multiple departments and programs;
  • Oversee facilities maintenance and operations;
  • Manage payroll, purchasing, and accounts payable systems;
  • Develop and implement effective business strategies to support district goals;
  • Serve as Secretary of the Board of Education;
  • Provide excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively collaborate with staff members and administrators.

Requirements
  • New Jersey School Business Administrator Standard Certificate required;
  • 5+ years of experience as a School Business Administrator / Board Secretary highly preferred;
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and abilities;
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP procedures and state/federal accounting guidelines;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems independently and collaboratively.

Compensation
This is a competitive salary position commensurate with experience. The estimated salary range is $ 100,000 - 120,000 per year.
