About the Role

The YMCA of the East Bay is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our Albany branch. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our branch, building strong relationships with our community, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, growth, and operations of the Albany YMCA branch, ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our community, including local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, ensuring they have the skills and support needed to excel in their roles.
  • Develop and manage the branch budget, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
  • Lead and develop the Albany YMCA Board of Advisors, committee chairs, and committee members.
  • Support the Y's philanthropic goals, developing and cultivating donor and alumni relationships.
Requirements
  • Seven to ten years of broad management experience, preferably in a YMCA or similar organization.
  • Experience in community relations, board and volunteer development, and management.
  • Strong experience attracting, retaining, leading, and motivating high-quality staff.
  • Fiscal management experience, including budget development and management.
  • Strategic planning experience, including developing and monitoring an annual operating plan.
  • Highly proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
What We Offer
  • Full-time, exempt salaried position: $100,000 - $125,000 DOE.
