About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Superintendent to join our team at Optima. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection aspects of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Craft and complete punch lists to ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents and schedules.
  • Work closely with the on-site team of superintendents to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct quality control checks on all trades to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor work from excavation to completion and commissioning of equipment.
  • Review MEP shop drawings to identify potential conflicts and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Attend and co-chair weekly coordination meetings with all trades to ensure effective communication and project progress.
  • Enforce onsite safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Collaborate with governing officials to inspect and approve work, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Maintain daily logs to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor equipment startups, commissioning, and "as-built" drawings for all MEP systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in structural and MEP trades.
  • Proficient with Procore and Microsoft Office.
  • Four-year college degree preferred.
  • Constructed at least a $25M project start to finish.
  • Mid- to high-rise fast-track residential construction experience required.
