Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a hands-on, driven MEP Superintendent to oversee all aspects of the project, including:

  • Supervising a team of superintendents to ensure seamless project execution
  • Conducting quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Coordinating and scheduling work to meet project deadlines
  • Reviewing MEP shop drawings to identify potential conflicts and installation manuals
  • Attending weekly coordination meetings with all trades and daily huddles with the Optima team and subcontractors
  • Enforcing onsite safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Interfacing with governing officials to inspect and approve work
  • Maintaining expediting and daily logs to track project progress
  • Creating and completing punch lists to ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in dealing with MEP trades
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Experience with mid- to high-rise Fast-track residential construction
  • General knowledge of building and mechanical codes, as well as all framing, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Construction practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project
  • Proficient in Procore
  • Detailed and organized
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide direction and guidance to skilled trades workers
