Medical Care Specialist

At AMR, we are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality medical care to our customers. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing advanced medical care to patients in emergency situations.
About the JobWe are seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team of Paramedics. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Evaluating each call situation to determine the best course of action and providing care using progressive Paramedic protocols.
- Utilizing medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids, to provide advanced medical care.
- Communicating with patients and their loved ones to provide information and reassurance that care is being given.
- Leading teams and taking responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
- Driving ambulances on 911 responses.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also participate in community programs to maintain a positive image and establish strong community relations. We are looking for candidates with a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and a passion for working collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel.
RequirementsTo be considered for this position, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- A State Paramedic License
- A State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications
- A clean driving record in compliance with company policy
- The ability to pass a physical agility test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
