Senior Electronic Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronic Engineer to join our team at Science, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic system design, with experience in developing cutting-edge medical devices. As a Senior Electronic Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining electronics for advanced medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Architect and design electrical systems for advanced medical device applications.
  2. Bring up and characterize electronic devices.
  3. Test and qualify electronic hardware, especially PCB-As.
  4. Investigate feasibility and prototype new concepts.
  5. Document and communicate design and test work clearly.
  6. Interface and communicate with cross-disciplinary teams, including microfabrication, software, IC design, and biology.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in electronic system design using cutting-edge FPGAs, CPUs, and SoCs.
  2. Strong understanding of power management in battery-powered systems.
  3. Familiarity with high-speed communication protocols (PCIe, MIPI, USB, etc.).
  4. Experience with power and size-constrained system design.
  5. Skilled in low-noise analog sensor interface design.
  6. Adept in modeling signal integrity, parasitic loading, and crosstalk for sensing applications.
  7. Experience with wireless system design and RF PCB design.
  8. Adept in using tools for electronic system characterization, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  9. Experience designing hardware test systems and interfacing test equipment.
  10. Strong circuit analysis and simulation skills.
  11. Experience in at least one full product life cycle from development to market.
  12. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  13. BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience with camera and optical systems.
  2. Familiarity with mobile SoCs and sensors.
  3. Experience with design for supply chain.
  4. Familiarity with product life cycle management, including product data management.
  5. Understanding of firmware development and the ability to factor firmware development into part selection.
  6. PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
