Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic medical sonography examinations using various clinical specialties, including stress echocardiography.
  • Provide patient care and ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations.
  • Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information to ensure accurate examination orders.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on equipment, procedures performed, and billing.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Superior patient care and communication skills to interact appropriately with patients and confirm patient identity and exam order is correct.
  • Ability to perform all general diagnostic and routine sonographic duties on patients 16 and older.
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Adequate computer skills to navigate electronic medical records systems and sonographic equipment.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with frequent exposure to biohazards, including blood-borne pathogens. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment and follow strict infection control protocols.
