Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Charlotte CARE Center in ensuring that all buildings are operating at maximum efficiency and are safe and secure for employees, volunteers, clients, and visitors.
- Perform lawn maintenance as required.
- Strip and wax all floors in all agency programs as directed.
- Use a broad spectrum of skills covering such trades as carpentry, plumbing, roofing, air conditioning, electrical, painting in day-to-day activities.
- Undertake special maintenance projects in all agency programs as directed.
- Facilitate quotes for services of outside vendors.
- Help keep the Center of Hope's client rooms in good order by repainting, repairing and/or readying rooms for new admissions while seeing to other maintenance issues in rooms of existing clients.
- Able to speak, write and understand English.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Must be sensitive to and respect cultural diversity among clients, staff, and volunteers and able to work with diverse racial, ethnic, and economic groups.
- Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to set appropriate limits, work under deadlines, and multi-task.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, self-motivate, and deliver results.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Possess strong work ethics.
- Successfully pass Level II criminal background screening.
- Subject to random drug screenings.
- Must possess valid Florida driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Participate in Agency Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) program and Accreditation/ Reaccreditation process.

- A high level of openness and willingness to receive feedback/suggestions from superiors and others, and to learn new skills to improve job performance.

- Experience and training in all areas of general maintenance.
- Ability to operate power equipment.
- Ability to perform calculations and measurements as required for carpentry work.
The work environment will occasionally become noisy due to equipment operations and interactions among clients and staff. There may be the possibility of being exposed to communicable disease, possible exposure to verbal abuse or similar behavior from residents/clients. On an as needed basis, employees may be called upon to work outside of the established work schedule or work odd hours. All information associated with the Agency is confidential.
