Clinical Staff Pharmacist, Acute Care, Variable Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Review and update medication profiles, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Perform computer order entry in a timely and accurate manner.
- Therapeutic Monitoring: Monitor patient medication regimens, identifying potential issues and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with healthcare teams to provide drug information and education to patients and families.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, ensuring effective delegation and validation of tasks.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PhD) degree required. One year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Licensure and Certification: Eligible for licensure by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) required. Texas license with TSBP within 30 days of hire.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
