Job Description:

This position will lead technical efforts and partnership development activities for the North American Refrigeration and HVAC market.

The primary function is to support markets in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, with secondary coordination responsibilities in Central and South America.

The Product Manager represents CAREL by providing robust technical controls and application leadership and supporting national and world-regional strategies and projects.

Promotes CAREL as a thought leader in controls solutions for residential, commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Identifies customers' needs and North American regulations requirements, providing input to the corporate and local Marketing and Solutions teams to drive the product development roadmap.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with OEMs, engineering consultants, integrators, and other key customers/stakeholders to drive CAREL solutions adoption.
  2. Develop technical partnerships with customers by providing support and managing project communication with key stakeholders to ensure CAREL solutions are applied following best practices and norms to enhance customer experience and foster brand awareness in North America.
  3. Identify, develop, and work with potential technology/solution partners to build a partner ecosystem that furthers CAREL's success in the marketplace.
  4. Develop and coordinate project plans for cross-functional groups, manage customer expectations, and perform engagement gap analysis and proposals for continuous improvement.
  5. Understand the competitive industry landscape while keeping CAREL teams informed of trends and changes.
  6. Understand CAREL products and their competitive position. Collaborate across functional teams to develop a comprehensive, best-in-class portfolio of solutions.
  7. Collaborate with CAREL internal teams to organize technical product training for critical customers such as OEMs, contractors, and end-users.
  8. Collaborate with all key stakeholders to ensure a successful and trouble-free end-user experience with solutions containing CAREL products.
  9. Provide key participation in trade shows and other high-profile marketing events. Represent CAREL and CAREL's products and services to the industry.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each ESSENTIAL DUTY.

The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  1. EDUCATION - 4-year university degree or equivalent experience. A mechanical and/or electrical engineering degree is preferred.
  2. LANGUAGE SKILLS - Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  3. REASONING SKILLS - High degree of technical and industry knowledge and reasoning. Can align the actions of self and surrounding internal and external teams with CAREL strategy.
  4. EXPERIENCE –
    1. 3 or more years of experience driving the development of control solutions for refrigeration and or HVAC applications in the North American market.
    2. Experience deploying natural refrigerant solutions is plus.
    3. Experience with controllers for HVAC-R applications is required.
    4. Experience related to communications protocols such as Modbus, BACnet and MQTT is a plus.
  5. COMPETENCIES - Minimum 3 years' experience applying HVAC/R technology to commercial refrigeration solutions. Proven organized leadership with both internal and external project management. PowerPoint, Excel, and Word demonstrated self-motivation, resulting in a high degree of performance without constant supervision.
  6. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Sufficient to calculate thermodynamic system performance, energy savings, and other monetized value derived from application simulations to prove market viability.

Salary:$80,000 - $120,000 per year
