Position Overview

Transdev is in search of ASE certified technicians for our operations. We seek skilled and experienced fleet technicians who can effectively diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment, while conducting daily safety inspections under general supervision. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance on transit vehicles in accordance with Transdev standards
  • Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair all assigned transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment
  • Ensure accurate upgrades and modifications on coach systems, including road calls and on-the-road repairs as necessary
  • Provide coaching and oversight to team members
  • Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Experience in maintaining various types of transit buses
  • Commercial Driving License obtained within a two-year timeframe
  • Preferred: Appropriate Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read and interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams
  • Must pass a DOT physical examination, including background and drug testing
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as required
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands or arms; and communicate effectively
  • Frequently required to sit
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and detect smells
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and in environments with moderate noise
  • May be exposed to water, fumes, and chemicals
Who You Are
  • At least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license in good standing with the ability to obtain a CDL permit
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Punctual with a strong emphasis on attendance
