Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Family Health Centers of San Diego. As a Psychiatrist, you will provide high-quality mental health services to our diverse patient population, with a special focus on underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for patients with mental illness, emotional disorders, and substance abuse.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers to manage patients with mental health concerns.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of our patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research in psychiatry.
Requirements
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training.
  • DEA license.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine; completion of a 3-year residency in General Psychiatry OR current status as a 3rd year resident in a General Psychiatry program.
  • Must possess current unrestricted license to practice in the State of California.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year experience working in Psychiatry preferred; experience with underserved, low-income persons, or homeless persons preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
