Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual counseling sessions to clients, focusing on substance abuse recovery skills, coping strategies, and trauma-informed care.
  • Assess client needs and strengths, developing personalized treatment plans to promote health and recovery.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Facilitate group sessions, workshops, and educational programs to promote healthy behaviors and coping skills.
  • Document client progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, psychology, social work) or equivalent experience.
  • Valid California driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience working with substance use disorders, mental health, and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System.
  • Knowledge of ASAM Diagnostic Assessment and Clinical documentation.
  • Experience working with criminal justice populations.
