Job Description

The Director of Operations will lead the plant's operations to achieve business goals and objectives. This role will oversee all plant functions, including manufacturing, accounting, human resources, and environmental, health, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate all plant functions to achieve operational objectives.
  • Assume responsibility for the Leadership Team Integrator role.
  • Embrace and utilize Core Values to drive decision-making.
  • Lead the Major Manufacturing Initiative process to drive productivity gains and downtime reduction.
  • Guide and support the Accounting area in preparing operational and capital budgets.
  • Guide and support the Human Resource function to meet operational needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Guide and support the Materials Management area in operational purchasing, planning, and customer service.
  • Guide and support the plant EH&S program in compliance, improvements, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain a positive rapport with all levels of the organization to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment of goals and progress towards them.
  • Lead and support the development of plant employees and plant succession planning activities.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in manufacturing leadership roles.
  • 5+ years managing operations in building materials manufacturing plants.
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations, safety & compliance regulations, and legal guidelines.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Experience in developing budgets and business plans.
  • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes.
  • LEAN management.
