Job Summary:

Cirrus Aircraft is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee and coordinate all weekend production activities within our campus. This role is responsible for ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate company vision and organizational goals to assigned production area(s)
  • Ensure production areas deliver product on time, at quality standards, and within operational budget
  • Develop and maintain metrics for safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards
  • Promote a continuous improvement culture and mentor supervisors in conducting improvement
  • Review processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments
  • Ensure all safety standards and policies are met
  • Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates based on company policies, equipment, labor availability, and workloads
  • Support supervisors to hire, train, evaluate, discharge staff, or resolve personnel issues
  • Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems
  • Ensure that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets and budgets
  • Prepare reports on operations and system productivity or efficiency
  • Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, empower, mentor, and coach employees
  • Deliver performance reviews and assist employees in setting goals
  • Identify and support change initiatives and engage employees in positively implementing and communicating change
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Ensure that all assigned work areas are kept clean, organized, and presentable at all times
  • Assess and direct training initiatives for assigned production areas
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7-10 years of related experience with minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Cirrus Design's manufacturing processes preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiencies in problem-solving, analytical skills, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with cross-functional areas
  • Demonstrated leader with well-versed process and people management skills
