As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct clinical and support services to patients and their families. Under the direction of registered nurses, you will perform a variety of delegated patient care interventions, including vital sign monitoring, bathing and feeding, wound care, and emotional support.

Our Perioperative Services department is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a safe and clean environment. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring quality patient/family clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical and support services to patients and their families
  • Perform delegated patient care interventions, including vital sign monitoring, bathing and feeding, wound care, and emotional support
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the Perioperative Services department
  • Work cooperatively with healthcare team members to provide a variety of support services

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS), including CPR certification
  • Ability to pass clinical competency testing
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
  • Basic math and computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of previous experience as a Patient Care Technician in an acute hospital setting
  • Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotation
  • Completed an approved Patient Care Technician training
  • Completed an approved certified medical assistant training
