Job Title: PACU Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Mass General Hospital.

About the Role:

Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate will assist the multi-disciplinary healthcare team in clinical support functions to promote a safe and compassionate patient care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living needs, monitoring and reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs.
  • Respond to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality and monitoring patient safety.
  • Transport patients to various destinations and communicate with patients in a respectful manner.

Qualifications:

Must have recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care. Preferred qualifications include a licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, or a candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed.
