Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at The Phoenician, a Luxury Collection Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking conditions.
  • Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, maintaining proper food safety and handling procedures.
  • Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain accurate food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues during busy periods to ensure seamless service.
  • Inform the Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials and keep the Food & Beverage service staff informed of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
  • Ensure the quality of food items and prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Prepare cold foods and assist with food preparation as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of related work experience in a similar role.
  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, reach overhead, and lift objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds.
