Job Title: Distribution Field Technician

Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Distribution Field Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in collecting field data to be used for Make Ready Engineering. This is the first and most pivotal point to a fiber build.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality pictures and measurements for analytical make ready engineering.
  • Protect all hardware provided by the company to complete work.
  • Analyze all equipment and keep equipment up to date with software updates.
  • Coordinate travel with Distribution Field Technician Level 2.
  • Working knowledge of Katapult mapping and processes.
  • Review deliverables for Make Ready Engineering and ensure process efficiencies.
  • Learn NESC clearances for fiber builds.
  • Develop a working knowledge of RUS standards.

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent education level is required.
  • Travel for work will be required.
  • Attention to detail and accountability for work is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Continuous learning mindset with a keen interest in staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.
  • Knowledge of RUS specifications are highly preferred.
