POSITION DESCRIPTION

The CAD Draftsperson is responsible for transforming client requirements into detailed technical drawings. This role involves utilizing floor plans, quotations, and purchase orders to assist in the design of new products, as well as updating existing models. The individual will create standard models and implement modifications based on customer feedback.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct research and apply both standard and customized methods of sheet metal fabrication to product drawings.
• Collaborate with fellow CAD Draftspersons to resolve issues related to specific projects and equipment requests.
• Produce precise drawings of equipment using AutoCAD software.
• Reference previously completed drawings to support the development of new products.
• Engage with clients to clarify inquiries regarding equipment specifications.
• Coordinate with various teams to ensure the accuracy of models.
• Perform additional duties as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in drafting from an accredited technical institution.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in CAD software.
• Experience working with stainless steel materials.
• Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment as a Drafter or in a similar capacity.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The characteristics of the work environment are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this role. The position requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and involves visual, auditory, and physical engagement, including walking, bending, reaching, and standing. The noise level in the workplace is typically moderate.
