POSITION DESCRIPTION

The CAD Draftsperson is responsible for transforming client requirements into precise technical drawings. This includes utilizing floor plans, quotes, and purchase orders to assist in the design of new products and the modification of existing ones. The role involves creating standard models and making adjustments based on customer specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Investigate and implement standard and custom product lines and methods of sheet metal fabrication into product drawings.
• Collaborate with fellow CAD Draftspersons to resolve issues related to specific projects and equipment requests.
• Produce detailed equipment drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Reference previously completed drawings to aid in the creation of new product designs.
• Engage with clients to clarify inquiries regarding equipment specifications.
• Work alongside other teams to ensure the accuracy of models.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in drafting from a recognized Technical School.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in CAD software.
• Experience working with stainless steel materials.
• Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment as a Drafter or in a similar capacity.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is representative of those encountered while performing essential job functions. The role requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and involves visual, auditory, and physical capabilities such as seeing, hearing, speaking, walking, bending, reaching, and standing. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
