POSITION DESCRIPTION

The CAD Draftsperson is responsible for transforming client requirements into precise technical drawings. This includes interpreting floor plans, quotes, and purchase orders, as well as assisting in the design of new products and updating existing models. The role involves creating standard models and making adjustments based on customer feedback.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and implement standard and custom fabrication techniques for sheet metal in product drawings.
• Collaborate with fellow CAD Draftspersons to resolve project-specific issues and equipment requests.
• Produce detailed equipment drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.
• Reference previously completed drawings to aid in the development of new products.
• Engage with clients to clarify equipment specifications and requirements.
• Coordinate with various teams to ensure accuracy in models.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in drafting from an accredited technical institution.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and training.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in CAD software.
• Experience working with stainless steel materials.
• Ability to meet project deadlines consistently.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment as a Drafter or in a similar capacity.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is representative of those encountered while performing essential job functions. Employees may be required to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and must possess the ability to see, hear, speak, walk, bend, reach, and stand. The noise level in the workspace is typically moderate.
