We are seeking a highly skilled Divisional EMR Specialist to join our team at CommuniCare Health Services. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, related to resident medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual audits of paper and electronic medical records to ensure compliance with established processes.
- Collaborate with facility management teams, regional, and corporate teams to problem-solve and communicate effectively.
- Coordinate training and competency assessments for newly onboarded Medical Records Specialists.
- Identify and coordinate ongoing teaching/training needs of facility Medical Record Specialists.
- Prepare resident medical records for release in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and professional standards for resident medical records.
- Ability to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with all staff.
- Basic computer literacy and skills.
- Flexibility to travel within the organization as necessary.
