The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, performing engineering assignments, and ensuring the scope and quality of work meet our company standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare technical, bidding, and contractual documents for capital investment projects.
- Establish project budgets and scope, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure the scope and quality of work achieve the intent of all Design Concepts and Company standards for capacity, performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop technical information and concepts into feasible and effective engineering approaches.
- Provide technical expertise on engineering and operational issues.
- Supervise field and contract personnel to ensure timely completion of assignments, within budget, and adherence to standards.
- Support the pre-qualification and selection of consulting and construction organizations for projects using negotiation or competitive selection processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering design theory and practice, project management, construction, and contract management, water resources, water/wastewater facilities, and utility operations.
- Knowledge of current trends in water quality and treatment and other aspects of the regulated and non-regulated water industry.
- General understanding of US regulations (commercial and environmental), legislation, and trends impacting the water industry.
- Process, project, and program management skills.
- Sound business acumen and judgment.
- Fluency in report writing and presentations.
- Effective people management (e.g., planning, organizing, controlling, and leading teams).
- Interpersonal skills (e.g., persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem solving, internal consulting).
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in water resources design, construction, and/or project management.
- Engineering Bachelor's Degree.
- Engineering Master's Degree preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) strongly preferred.
- Primarily office with occasional local/overnight work in the field.
- Up to 2 days work from home permitted per week.
- Up to 20%.
