Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our team as a Float RN. This role requires the ability to work effectively in various inpatient acute units, building strong relationships with patients, coworkers, and physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care consistent with Franciscan Health System standards and values.
  • Develop, implement, and assess patient plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patients/families.
  • Engage in direct patient care, including assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating work to members of the patient care team.
  • Provide education and consultation to patients, families, physicians, and other staff members on implementing appropriate nursing interventions for optimal patient care.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of previous RN experience required.
  • One year of related work experience (ED or critical care) in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (with a 1-month grace period if expired).
  • Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) certification within 12 months of date of hire and maintained as current thereafter.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 12 months of date of hire and maintained as current thereafter.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification is preferred.
  • CCRN/Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) certification is preferred.
