Position Overview
This role operates remotely within the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health division. Our Heart Failure solutions are pivotal in addressing significant healthcare challenges worldwide.
As a VAD Clinical Consultant, you will collaborate with healthcare facilities and account executives to promote our remote patient monitoring services and digital platform through clinical discussions and workflow optimization.
Key Responsibilities
The following outlines essential functions for this position, though it does not limit the tasks that may be assigned. Management may allocate or reassign duties and responsibilities as necessary.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and ongoing training.
- Facilitate the implementation of digital solutions in healthcare settings.
- Provide clinical consulting services through workflow analysis and value mapping to both new and existing accounts, collaborating with the sales team to enhance workflow efficiency using data management tools.
- Offer onsite support for VADWatch (eRx, Remote Patient Monitoring, and Inventory Manager) implementations and ongoing training for clinical staff as required.
- Deliver continuous clinical support and education to sales team members.
- Collaborate with the sales team in key meetings with customer decision-makers to strategize on promoting our digital solutions.
- Support the development of corporate partners' products and services.
- Participate in advanced sales training and strategy development.
- Contribute insights on new product and service development, sharing best practices and training materials.
- Assist in gathering evidence for clinical studies as needed.
- Stay informed about new developments, approaches, medications, or information relevant to core business areas and share this knowledge with appropriate departments.
- Travel requirements of up to 50-75% within the designated geographic area.
- Provide coverage for key accounts during sales territory vacancies to ensure continuity of care for our clients.
- Maintain regular communication with all relevant team members.
- Submit mileage and expense reports as required.
- Document calls, meetings, and ongoing account information as necessary.
- Engage in ongoing education independently and as requested by Acelis Connected Health.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of five years of nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in anticoagulation, heart failure, cardiac devices, or nursing education is preferred.
- Experience as a hospital VAD Coordinator.
- Participation in self-improvement courses and seminars related to the position.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
