Transportation Logistics Analyst

Position Overview:
The Logistics Specialist is integral to the effectiveness of supply chain management, focusing on the coordination of deliveries and the administration of shipping documentation. This role demands exceptional organizational capabilities and the aptitude to manage various tasks simultaneously.
Primary Duties:
Engage with internal departments across Clinical, Manufacturing, and Quality sectors, as well as external stakeholders, to streamline inbound and outbound logistics operations.
Collaborate with transportation providers, Customs Brokers, and importers to oversee logistics processes.
Monitor and document the timely and complete delivery of products to specified destinations.
Investigate import/export regulations for various countries and transport pathways.
Ensure all required documentation is prepared and coordinated among third-party shipping sites, Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), depots, and other relevant locations.
Maintain precise records and guarantee adherence to record-keeping standards for all transport routes.
Supervise critical shipments throughout each phase of transport.
Report any shipping discrepancies to Quality Assurance.
Assist in the management of the Transportation Management System (TMS) for Clinical Supplies.
Review and process billing invoices for payment.
Apply for necessary import or export permits.
Stay informed about global regulatory updates concerning international trade to ensure compliance.
Represent Supply Chain Logistics in relevant supply meetings.
Provide stakeholders with shipping status updates through comprehensive reports.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience: 1-2 years in transportation logistics.
Knowledge: Understanding of Export and Import Documentation Requirements, Good Practice (GxP) in transportation, and Dangerous Goods Shipping (Hazmat Awareness/Certification is advantageous).
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in spreadsheets and Outlook.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work proficiently under pressure.
Strong communication abilities.
Work Environment:
Primarily an indoor setting, performing clerical duties.
May require flexibility to work outside standard hours and on weekends to manage critical shipments.
