We are seeking a dedicated Life Skills Instructor/Aide to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving independence by working on their SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound). This role focuses on improving social skills, personal hygiene, household chores, and simple meal prepping.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach and support clients in developing social skills, including communication techniques and building confidence in social settings
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene routines and self-care practices (ex. brushing clients teeth, folding clothes)
  • Provide instruction and guidance in household chores such as cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe and orderly home
  • Help clients with simple meal prepping, including preparing easy, nutritious meals
  • Set and review SMART goals with clients, helping them achieve measurable progress
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and adjust goals as necessary
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other service providers to support client success
  • Travel to client locations as needed (mileage reimbursed)
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must be comfortable with pets in the home
  • Physical ability to assist with daily living tasks and transportation needs
