POSITION SUMMARY:

Kforce Inc. is seeking a dedicated Tax Accountant who will be accountable for the upkeep of tax documentation and the formulation of tax filings and associated reports for a designated sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulates and upholds tax strategies aimed at reducing tax obligations.
  • Prepares projections of taxable income, financial statements, and specialized accounting documentation.
  • Aids in tax return examinations and compliance documentation.
  • Generates and organizes reports for management or regulatory entities.
  • Addresses inquiries concerning tax accounting practices, protocols, and issues from bank management, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensures proper accounting and control for a designated sector.
  • Investigates tax technical and Financial Reporting guidelines and stipulations.
  • Prepares IRS Forms 1120-RIC, 8613, 1065, and Schedule K-1s, along with any necessary state and local tax forms.
  • Coordinates the distribution of essential tax documents and supporting schedules to investors and partners.
  • Computes mutual fund taxable income, including book-to-tax discrepancies for fiscal and excise tax purposes, and determines taxable income for hedge funds and investment partnerships.
  • Assists in the preparation of Forms of Form 1099-MISC.
  • Prepares estimates for income and capital gain/loss, including book-to-tax discrepancies as requested by clients.
  • Calculates dividend distribution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must possess experience in a comparable role or demonstrate substantial knowledge, experience, and skills to effectively fulfill the responsibilities outlined.
  • Relevant education and/or training will be regarded as advantageous.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The compensation range reflects the lowest to highest remuneration we reasonably believe we would offer for this role. Final pay may vary based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contracts, and business requirements. This range may be adjusted in the future.

We provide comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability, and ADD insurance for eligible employees. Salaried employees receive paid time off, while hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless mandated by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project qualify for paid sick leave.

Note: Compensation is not considered earned until it is vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remain at Kforce's discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in accordance with the law.

This position is not eligible for bonuses, incentives, or commissions.
