Assistant Store Manager Job Description

As an Assistant Store Manager at ALDI, you will play a key role in driving store performance and ensuring exceptional customer service. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Store Operations: Assist the Store Manager in overseeing day-to-day store activities, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining store appearance.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and feedback to ensure staff are meeting their goals.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise.
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is maintained to a high standard, including cleaning, repairs, and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment, with prior management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on customer service and store operations.
Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: $27.00 per hour, with a wage increase to $28.00 per hour in Year 2.
  • Benefits Package: Medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and company matching contributions.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous vacation time and 7 paid holidays, with up to 6 weeks of paid parental leave and 2 weeks of paid caregiver leave.
