Job Summary

AHA Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to lead our Boston and Lexington offices electrical groups. This role provides an immediate seat in the AHA MA Senior Leadership Group and offers an excellent near-term opportunity to become an AHA Partner via our ongoing and successful "Path to Partnership" Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance to Project Engineers, Design Engineers, and Designers working on various design tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant electrical and building codes and standards.
  • Perform electrical QA/QC project reviews per the AHA Project Schedule.
  • Manage the Boston and Lexington offices Electrical Group staffing.
  • Develop an electrical group training plan and coordinate implementation with HR.
  • Interview and/or oversee the interviewing process for potential new hires.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding with MA Electrical Group and HR.
  • Perform annual performance reviews of MA Electrical Group staff.
  • Maintain and update AHA electrical details, specifications, and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
  • PE license.
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in MEP electrical engineering.
  • Five or more years leading and developing teams.
  • Able to travel to sites when necessary.
  • Understanding of current codes.
  • Revit and AutoCAD experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
