Senior Accounts Receivable Manager

The Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) seeks a highly skilled Senior Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee the efficient management of cash receipts and application of all payments in a timely fashion. This key role is responsible for managing the accounts receivable department and ensuring the accurate management of cash receipts and payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily and month-end closing processes related to cash receipts.
- Maintain accurate records and control reports.
- Monitor expenditures and implement corrective steps by identifying significant variances.
- Communicate and explain work procedures to subordinates.
- Define, develop, and implement collections and accounts receivable policies and procedures.
- Make recommendations for improvements for daily cash application.
- Delegate, review, prepare, or assist with internal and external audit schedules as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Senior Accounts Receivable Manager will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. This includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
An Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree is required. 5-7 years of related experience are preferred, with supervisory experience being a plus.
Language Skills
The successful candidate will have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. They will also be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effective presentation skills are also required to present information to groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
The Senior Accounts Receivable Manager will have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, etc. They will also be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to develop and interpret business graphs is also required.
Reasoning Ability
The successful candidate will have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They will also be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
