POSITION OVERVIEW
As a vital member of our Store Leadership Team, you will assist in managing daily operations to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. This role is instrumental in executing strategies that elevate customer service, boost sales, and enhance profitability. By embodying a positive leadership style, you will support the Store Manager in fostering a collaborative environment focused on teamwork and exceptional service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and guide a diverse team of store staff, including supervisors and associates.
- Implement plans to improve employee productivity and performance.
- Support the Store Manager in the recruitment, training, and coaching of a diverse workforce.
- Provide daily coaching and direction to ensure performance standards are achieved.
- Manage inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, and shrink control.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and execute action plans addressing sales, safety, training, and personnel development.
- No specific educational requirements (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and other in-store technology.
- Ability to exercise judgment in resolving day-to-day operational challenges.
- Strong communication skills to effectively share ideas and information with the leadership team, associates, and customers.
- Engage in a dynamic work environment that may require physical activity, including lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional need to work in a stationary position.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule that may vary based on business needs.
