SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

As an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft passenger boarding bridges, PLC-controlled conveyors, baggage carousels, aircraft ground power units, aircraft potable water units, and related equipment. You will provide concise, accurate, and sufficiently detailed data for input of all maintenance information. You will also provide emergency/unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment and facilities. You will read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. You will complete daily work log and work order paperwork for tasks accomplished during shift. You will respond to maintenance calls when required and/or requested. You will comply with company safety program and trainings. You will perform other duties as assigned or needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School diploma or GED equivalent, a valid Driver's License, 3-5 years' experience in equipment and maintenance operations, a proficient understanding of PLC Control systems, PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, the ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport, the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, the willingness to work in various weather conditions, and the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift including weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of a Maintenance Repair Technician 2, you will regularly be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. You will frequently be required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. You will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. You will be able to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand/eye coordination is required.

Work Environment:

The work environment is similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic. You will regularly be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. You will work on an airport ramp around aircrafts and around heavy equipment.
