Compensation

Minimum: $15.45

Key Responsibilities

While the following tasks are illustrative, they are not exhaustive. Responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting teachers in the development and execution of lesson plans and enrichment activities tailored to individual child growth.
  • Assisting in the procurement and preparation of materials for educational activities.
  • Organizing classroom environments to facilitate engaging learning experiences.
  • Monitoring children during activities to ensure safety and engagement.
  • Helping with meal service and maintaining cleanliness in classrooms and restrooms.
  • Updating and maintaining children's records to accurately reflect their progress.
  • Communicating with parents through meetings, written updates, and home visits as necessary.
  • Conducting health checks on children and reporting any concerns to the appropriate health personnel.
  • Reporting any suspected child abuse or neglect to the relevant authorities.
  • Assisting with transportation duties, including engaging children in activities during transit.
  • Ensuring classroom and outdoor areas are safe, orderly, and sanitary.
  • Administering First Aid and CPR as needed.
  • Driving children as required for transportation purposes.
  • Taking on the role of Lead Teacher when necessary.
  • Performing additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with relevant coursework.
  • High school diploma or GED; CDA credential or enrollment in a CDA program to be completed within two years of hire.
  • Completion of required training hours in child development and safety protocols.
  • Ability to pass background checks as mandated for this position.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, bend, and sit on the floor to attend to children's needs.
  • Capacity to provide physical assistance to children, including those with special needs.
Work Environment
  • Medium work - Involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Emergency Responsibilities

In case of emergencies, employees may be required to fulfill duties as assigned by their department or relevant authorities.
