Compliance with relevant federal and local standards is essential.
Compensation
Minimum: $15.45

While the following tasks are illustrative, they are not exhaustive. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teachers in the development and execution of lesson plans and enrichment activities tailored to individual child growth.
- Assisting in the procurement and preparation of materials for educational activities.
- Organizing classroom environments to facilitate engaging learning experiences.
- Monitoring children during activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Helping with meal service and maintaining cleanliness in classrooms and restrooms.
- Updating and maintaining children's records to accurately reflect their progress.
- Communicating with parents through meetings, written updates, and home visits as necessary.
- Conducting health checks on children and reporting any concerns to the appropriate health personnel.
- Reporting any suspected child abuse or neglect to the relevant authorities.
- Assisting with transportation duties, including engaging children in activities during transit.
- Ensuring classroom and outdoor areas are safe, orderly, and sanitary.
- Administering First Aid and CPR as needed.
- Driving children as required for transportation purposes.
- Taking on the role of Lead Teacher when necessary.
- Performing additional related duties as assigned.
- Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with relevant coursework.
- High school diploma or GED; CDA credential or enrollment in a CDA program to be completed within two years of hire.
- Completion of required training hours in child development and safety protocols.
- Ability to pass background checks as mandated for this position.
- Ability to kneel, stoop, bend, and sit on the floor to attend to children's needs.
- Capacity to provide physical assistance to children, including those with special needs.
- Medium work - Involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
In case of emergencies, employees may be required to fulfill duties as assigned by their department or relevant authorities.
