At OFS, we are seeking a skilled Fiber Gratings Technician to join our team in Avon, CT. As a key member of our Sensing manufacturing division, you will play a critical role in supporting our continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate production equipment within the grating station.
- Fabricate and measure Fiber Bragg Grating arrays.
- Complete measurement and production documentation.
- Support engineering on process development activities.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college/technical degree preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing and production testing.
- Ability to read and understand complex manufacturing drawings/process layouts.
- Experience in fusion splicing and measurement of optical fibers desired.
- Precision, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.
- Ability to collect and record measurement data; capable of operating precision measurement equipment.
- Experience working with high power lasers, optics, optical fibers, and fusion splicers preferred.
