Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our division in Avon, CT, and contribute to our continued business growth within Sensing manufacturing.

The primary function of this position is to perform production work on Fiber Bragg Gratings product line, responsible for fabricating and measuring Fiber Bragg Grating arrays, performing analysis, and working with a team to conduct process improvement. This role will work primarily during our 2nd shift operation, but flexibility is provided and preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up production equipment within the grating station.
  • Fabricate and measure Fiber Bragg Gratings products.
  • Complete measurement and production documentation.
  • Support engineering on process development activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. College/Technical degree preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing and production testing.
  • Ability to read and understand complex manufacturing drawings/process layouts.
  • Experience in fusion splicing and measurement of optical fibers desired.
  • Precision, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.
