POSITION SUMMARY

The Training Supervisor will oversee the development, enhancement, and management of the training program for both new hires and existing staff. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and may involve working across various shifts, including weekends. The Training Supervisor will report to the Human Resources Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development:

  • Collaborate with departmental leaders and subject matter experts to design and implement tailored training programs for various roles.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops, and e-learning modules to enhance employee skills.
  • Create training materials, including outlines, text, handouts, practical exercises, and evaluation tools.

Needs Assessment:

  • Conduct regular assessments to identify employee learning needs and skill gaps.
  • Analyze performance metrics and feedback to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Prioritize training initiatives based on organizational goals and requirements.

Compliance Training:

  • Ensure completion of all mandatory compliance training, including food safety and workplace safety.
  • Monitor adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

Vendor Management:

  • Work with external training providers to source relevant content and resources.
  • Evaluate training materials for quality and effectiveness.
  • Manage user entries and deletions in the Learning Management System (LMS) and generate training completion reports.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Assess the impact of training initiatives on employee performance regularly.
  • Provide constructive feedback to trainers and adjust programs as necessary.
  • Offer feedback to management regarding individual and team performance during onboarding and training sessions.

Promoting a Learning Culture:

  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development by being accessible to employees for questions regarding training and development needs.

Additional Duties: Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, education, or engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Willingness to adjust schedule to meet business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and train others.
  • Strong consultative, influential, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in creating instructional materials and facilitating workshops.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production environment.

FREQUENT: Ability to communicate effectively; stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use hands and fingers to operate machinery and equipment. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and temperature fluctuations.

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, reaching above shoulder height, wearing a dust mask, and performing confined entry tasks. Exposure to hazardous chemicals.

VISION: Ability to see at close and distant ranges, as well as color and peripheral vision. Must be able to detect obstacles and potential hazards in a fast-paced production environment.

HEARING: Ability to hear within the normal audio range. Exposure to noise from machinery and equipment.
