Job Summary

The primary role of the Program Support Aide is to provide daily assistance to the Adult Instructors & PCS team. This includes assisting with duties in the Adult Day Services department to enhance program efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide personal care for clients, including toileting, feeding, providing drinks/snacks per special healthcare needs, and dressing.
  2. Support Instructors during classes, exercise, and pool activities, such as Range of Motion and PT follow-through.
  3. Assist with lunch periods by preparing and arranging rooms, sanitizing tables, and cleaning up.
  4. Monitor and adhere to program and class schedules.
  5. Sanitize rooms and equipment as scheduled or needed.
  6. Perform housekeeping tasks, including laundry and stocking.
  7. Document incidents, seizures, behaviors, and other required information in a timely and accurate manner.
  8. Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and continuing education courses as required.
  9. Provide direction to volunteers during program activities and community outings.
  10. Perform additional duties as necessary.
  11. Comply with agency safety policies and procedures.

Experience and Skill Requirements:

  1. A high school diploma is required; a CNA license is preferred.
  2. The ability to lift and transfer adults (minimum 25 pounds) is essential.
  3. Experience working with adults who have severe disabilities is necessary.
  4. A positive attitude and strong degree of professionalism are required at all times.
  5. Established communication and organizational skills are essential.
  6. A successful background check, iso-kinetic test, communicable disease screen, and drug screen are required.
