About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing direction, guidance, and support to our shift and day Process Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply continuous improvement methodology to enhance plant operations, supporting specific plant goals in operational effectiveness, job effectiveness, safety, and quality.
  • Lead and support projects involving cost reduction, process optimization, and new products/processes.
  • Execute all required duties while practicing safe work methods and adhering to all plant safety rules.
  • Provide training for customers regarding equipment or operations changes.
  • Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and operations personnel for line use. Train and deploy these in the plant.
  • Solve process issues through data analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Recommend/implement improvements to processes and equipment.
  • Identify chronic issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and update engineering and operations documentation.
  • Develop and maintain the project master schedule.
  • Manage document control, receive and log in new issue drawings and other contract documents, and maintain document control log.
  • Actively participate with the EHS team to lead projects that improve worker safety and minimize incident risk.
  • Function as a change agent and systematically drive and implement change through cross-functional efforts between the safety, manufacturing, and quality resource.
  • Develop engineering documentation: PFMEA, Control Plans, SOP etc.
  • Develop and maintain regular reports consistent with departmental needs to track progress and drive action on plant improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical approach.
  • Proven technical acumen.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical college diploma.
  • The ability to effectively interface with all management levels and other client business units.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
