Position Overview:

Are you a detail-oriented and analytical professional who challenges the status quo? This role involves overseeing and engaging in the formulation, assessment, and execution of planning initiatives, or taking charge of significant specialized studies that necessitate initial development and management, with a focus on creative assignments.

Current Opportunities:
There are multiple openings available within the Department of Planning and Permitting, including:
- Two positions in the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Division
- One position in the Planning Division
- One position in the Site Development Division
Additionally, there is one vacancy in the Transportation Mobility Division of the Department of Transportation Services.

Eligibility and Application:
If you meet the qualifications for this role, your name will be placed on an eligible list, which may be utilized for future job openings within this and other departments.

Compensation:
The salary for the positions in the Department of Planning and Permitting, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Division is based on relevant experience, ranging from $6,399 to $7,485 per month, pending approval. For other Planner VI (General City/Urban Planning) (SR-26) roles, the salary starts at $6,399 per month.

Education Requirements:
Applicants must possess a degree from a regionally-accredited college or university with a focus on city planning, architecture, engineering, economics, sociology, public administration, or a related discipline. Degrees obtained outside the United States must be evaluated for equivalency.

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of four years of professional experience (post-bachelor's degree, non-clerical) in city planning or related activities is required. This experience should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of city planning principles, practices, and relevant laws.

Verification of Credentials:
Evidence of educational qualifications must be submitted for credit consideration. This includes an electronic copy of your diploma and/or official transcript.

License Requirement:
A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
