Job Title: Land Planner

BGE, Inc. is a leading consulting firm that provides expert services in planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, and environmental services. We are seeking a highly skilled Land Planner to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of conceptual plans, master plans, and lotting studies to ensure effective land use and urban planning.
  • Conduct thorough research and reviews of local development codes and regulations to ensure compliance and optimal planning outcomes.
  • Prepare high-quality base maps and project graphics to support the planning process and facilitate effective communication.
  • Conduct land use and site analysis to identify opportunities and challenges, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Prepare general plans and subdivision plats to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimal land use.
  • Collect and coordinate project documents to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Prepare subdivision and zoning applications to ensure timely and successful project approvals.
  • Coordinate with local governmental agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers and other consultants to ensure comprehensive and integrated project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of demonstrated work experience in land planning, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of planning principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, and Adobe Suite software.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet firm deadlines.
