Job Overview

Position Title: Compensation Coordinator

Salary Range: $21 - $24 per hour

Location: Treehaven

Available Positions: 1 (Bilingual English/Vietnamese preferred)

Role Objective: The Compensation Coordinator plays a vital role in providing essential administrative assistance to the Finance Department. This position is crucial for ensuring the precise and timely management of employee compensation, while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations. The individual will collaborate closely with the Payroll Manager to execute payroll functions throughout the organization and may also undertake additional projects as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

  1. Support the processing of biweekly and semi-monthly payroll for employees, which includes data entry, timekeeping, and wage calculations.
  2. Maintain comprehensive employee records, documenting changes in salary, benefits, tax withholdings, and personal details.
  3. Verify timekeeping entries and resolve any discrepancies related to hours worked.
  4. Assist in managing employee benefits, such as health insurance and retirement plans.
  5. Ensure accurate calculation and timely submission of payroll taxes at federal, state, and local levels.
  6. Generate payroll reports as required, including year-end documentation.
  7. Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Keep organized and secure payroll records in compliance with company policies and legal standards.

Financial Administration:

  1. Process expense reimbursement requests for employees, clients, and vendors.
  2. Manage communications with clients and vendors through various channels.
  3. Handle transactions, issue checks, and update financial ledgers and budgets.
  4. Process company receipts, sales invoices, and payments from customers and suppliers.
  5. Assist in preparing financial reports and reconciling bank statements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or Payroll Manager.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (college education preferred).
  • Bilingual: Vietnamese (highly desired).

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  2. Experience with QuickBooks or ADP is preferred.
  3. Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
  4. Strong 10-key skills.
  5. Typing speed of 50+ WPM.
  6. Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
  7. Proficient computer skills with a keen attention to detail and professional communication abilities.
  8. Proficiency in Windows operating systems and intermediate knowledge of Excel (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).

Work Schedule: 9 AM - 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
