Security Engineer

As a Security Engineer at Lendistry, you will be responsible for protecting our organization against cyber threats and managing security incidents. You will develop and implement strategies to safeguard our assets and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Investigate potential security incidents and triage detected threats. Coordinate incident response and reporting, and manage the Incident Response program. Monitor and analyze audit logs, implement SIEM controls, and handle incidents from AWS, laptops, and wireless devices. Collaborate with the security architecture team to report operational issues and manage intrusion detection and prevention systems. Perform threat hunting, manage data recovery, and conduct forensic investigations. Support compliance initiatives like SOC1, SOC2, PCI, and partner with stakeholders in the enterprise.
Requirements
Knowledge and hands-on experience in Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tools, TCP/IP network traffic, and event log analysis. Proficient in public cloud security technology, AWS security solutions, and IDS/IPS monitoring. Familiarity with industry security standards like ISO 27000 series, NIST CSF, and CSA. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects. Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, engineering, or information systems, or 3+ years of experience in security operations and engineering. Ideally, holds a security certification like CISSP, GCIH, or AWS Security. Experience handling incidents for major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. Understanding of security and compliance domains for areas like PCI and Privacy Regulations. Experience in a Security Operation Center is preferred. Basic understanding of security controls for Windows servers/workstations and Mac. The ability to perform well in a team environment. Experience with risk management, vulnerability management, threat analysis, security auditing, security monitoring, incident response, and other information security practices is preferred.
Salary Range
$139,800 - $174,500/annually, depending on experience and location. Lendistry is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
