Job Title: Amaya Server Assistant

Join our team as a Server Assistant at Fairmont Grand Del Mar, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Server Assistant to join our team. As a Server Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our servers with their duties, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist servers with their duties, including setting up tables, delivering food and beverages, and clearing plates.
  • Ensure that all setups are ready for service according to standards.
  • Assist with pre-shift duties, including polishing serving trays and setting up the pass area for dinner service.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Expedite completed dishes to the service area and assist with serving tables as needed.
  • Assist with breakdown and clean-up of service areas, including cleaning and storing service trays and pass items.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar restaurant environment is preferred.
  • Food Handlers Card is required.
  • High School graduate.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions.
  • Knowledge of Restaurant operations, its services, and facilities.
  • Must have superior guest service abilities as well as a complete understanding of California serving guidelines.
Physical Demands:
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors.
  • Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by Restaurant environmental systems.
  • Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to multi-task in a calm manner on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill daily tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Grooming:

All Colleagues must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per Fairmont Grand Del Mar standards.
