About the Job

MyCareer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the selection and utilization of pharmaceuticals and supporting core clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and compound medications in various forms based on physician prescriptions and patient needs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, including record-keeping and handling controlled substances.
  • Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including scheduling, training, and ensuring competency.
  • Supervise daily pharmacy operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
  • Provide pharmaceutical care and counseling to ensure patient safety and optimal medication usage.
  • Implement quality assurance programs to ensure accuracy and safety in medication dispensing.
  • Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee pharmacy financial aspects, including billing and insurance claims processing.
  • Implement strategies for enhancing pharmacy operations and patient care.
  • Develop plans for handling emergencies affecting pharmacy operations.
  • Uphold ethical standards in pharmacy practice and patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate records of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide training opportunities for pharmacy staff development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Doctorate in Pharmacy.
  • Current unrestricted Pharmacy License, including MI Pharmacy License.
  • 2-5 years of managed care pharmacy (PBM) experience or residency equivalent.
